Two youths charged for alleged property damage at mall in Midland

Two young people have been charged in connection with mischief to property at the Mountainview Mall in Midland.

Ontario Provincial Police say a staff member reported an entry into the mall between 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 21 and 10:00 a.m. the following day.

Once inside the mall, police say 15 fire extinguishers were emptied and graffiti was spray painted on the walls. At the time, investigators estimated damage to be in excess of $10,000.

The accused have been charged with mischief over $5,000 and break and enter. They have court dates in February.
