A man that Barrie police say was pretending to be asleep on a GO train was arrested after refusing to leave.

GO Transit contacted police around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Upon arrival at the GO Transit Allandale Yard, the 45-year-old male continued to be uncooperative with responding officers and was arrested under Trespass to Property Act, according to police.

After confirming his identity, police learned the man was wanted on outstanding warrants held by another police service.

Police handed over the man to a GTA-based police service a few hours later, where he was transferred into custody.
