The need for speed resulted in stunt driving charges for a pair of motorists pulled over by Barrie police.
On Friday afternoon, police say a car westbound on Mapleview Drive East, east of Bayview Drive, was clocked travelling 103 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The motorist, a 32-year-old Barrie man, was charged with stunt driving, resulting in an automatic 14-day vehicle impound and a driver's licence suspension for 30 days.
Barrie police say another driver, a 53-year-old man from Thornton, was stopped for speeding. Their truck, according to police, registered 101 km/h in a 60-zone northbound on Essa Road, south of Salem Road, Saturday afternoon.

The officer laid speeding and stunt driving charges, the vehicle was impounded and the man's driver's licence was suspended.
