Two horses were inside a barn that partially collapsed on a Line 11 North property in Oro-Medonte.

Fire crews were alerted about the collapse around 9:30 a.m. Friday.

The horses were retrieved and were uninjured, according to Fire Chief Rory Payment.

He said the resident of the property was lucky to have escaped uninjured as they were leaving the barn as it collapsed.

The cause of the collapse is being blamed on a heavy snow load.
