Apparently, not everyone got the memo from police on Monday to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.
Local snow squalls and wind gusts to 60 km/h produced near-blizzard conditions on many roads across the region.
Police said Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers on snowmobiles went to the aid of Huronia West OPP officers in a team effort to rescue and remove motorists on various Flos roads overnight.
No injuries were reported.
