Sinbad continues recovery after a stroke two years ago left him unable to walk.
His family updated his progress, saying he "appreciates all the love and support you have shown him over the last two years."
The family has set up a website where fans can keep up to date on his recovery.
In October 2020, the 66-year-old, whose real name is David Adkins, suffered an 'Ischemic stroke' when a blood clot in his heart travelled to his brain.
He underwent two successful emergency thrombectomy surgeries to remove the clots but shortly after, his brain began to swell.
Doctors then found a bleed in his brain, and Sinbad was put into a medically induced coma and placed on a ventilator.
According the webpage, "It would be weeks before he would open his eyes, speak, or show signs of basic mobility. It wasn't long before we realized he couldn't move his left side or simply hold his head up."
The comedian finally returned home nine months after his initial stroke and continues to struggle to walk but is making constant progress.
The site says, "He continues to receive therapy, fighting for every inch. His progress is nothing short of remarkable. Limbs that were said to be "dead" are coming alive and he's taking the steps necessary to learn to walk again.
"In his own words, 'I am not done. I will not stop fighting until I can walk across the stage again'"
