No one was hurt, damage was minimal in a shed fire Tuesday night in Essa Township.
Nottawasaga OPP and the Essa Fire Department responded around 8:30 p.m. to the fire at 8294 County Road 27. When officers arrived, they found a shed behind a mobile trailer engulfed in flames. They were able to confirm everyone—people and pets alike—had made it out safely.
Firefighters arrived shortly after and put out the fire before it could spread to nearby homes. The only person on the property at the time was the owner, who was not injured.
Investigators believe a generator powering the mobile home may be to blame. There’s no indication the fire was suspicious.
The property was mainly used for storage and work on the mobile home.
