Storm Clean-Up Support for Simcoe County Residents

The County and our partner municipalities continue to adapt to help with storm clean-up efforts.

Here's what you need to know:

Free Brush Drop-Off Extended

- Fees have been waived for brush drop-off at all County of Simcoe waste drop-off sites until the end of May 2025.

- This is the fastest way to remove debris from your properties. Curbside collection for the entire County could take months.

- Private debris contractors are NOT charged unless the material dropped off is unrelated to the storm.

- Root balls will incur a charge due to additional processing.

- For a full list of County waste drop-off facilities, including temporary sites, visit simcoe.ca/waste.

Curbside Brush Collection Updates

- Smaller Brush: Regular leaf and yard waste trucks are collecting smaller brush piles in the hardest-hit areas first. Branches/limbs up to 2 meters in length and 10 centimeters in diameter are being collected. Bundling is preferred but not required at this time.

- Larger Brush: Additional resources are being procured to collect and process larger brush debris. Larger limbs can be left at a safe distance from the curb and will be collected in time.

TIP: Sort debris into larger and smaller brush piles. Crews will collect what they can now and return later for larger branches and limbs.

Please remain patient as clean-up efforts may take months. For more information, visit simcoe.ca/icestorm, download the Simcoe County Collects App, or contact Service Simcoe Contact Centre at 1-800-263-3199.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work together to restore our community!
