An 18-year-old has been charged with drug-related offences after Barrie police conducted a traffic stop on Dunlop Street East.

According to police, the vehicle was pulled over on Sunday evening, and an officer spotted an open can of alcohol and marijuana that was accessible to the driver.

Police searched the three occupants that were in the car and a passenger was allegedly found to have what was believed to be meth and psilocybin.

Besides a pair of drug possession charges, the teen was also dinged for failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and has a court date next month.
