It's highly recommended not to bring illegal drugs to a courthouse.

Apparently, someone didn't read the memo.

Ontario Provincial Police say officers working at the Orillia courthouse on Thursday afternoon were assisting security when they noted a man set off the metal detector near the doors.

Police say officers noticed a white substance in a clear bag in his jacket pocket that he refused to remove.

They allegedly found 65 grams of suspected cocaine and more than $3,500.

The 43-year-old from Orillia was charged with drug trafficking a resisting a police officer.
