Significant damage was caused when a pickup truck crashed into the grounds of a golf course in Muskoka Lakes Township Saturday, and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating.
The Bracebridge Detachment of the OPP responded to calls Saturday morning after reports of a single vehicle collision on Golf Avenue Road
The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence surrounding a tennis court at Windermere Golf and Country Club. After the crash, the pickup truck came to rest on the hard court surface.
Parts of the property and vehicle are heavily damaged. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been located.
