The Town of New Tecumseth has broken ground on Fire Station #4, a modern emergency facility set to enhance fire safety and response times for local residents.
Situated at 6365 14th Line, the new fire station will be the second in Alliston, and the fourth overall in the town’s municipal fire service. With completion expected in late 2026 or early 2027, the 12,600 sq. ft. single-storey facility will include three drive-through apparatus bays, firefighter dormitories, training areas, administrative offices, and essential support spaces for personnel.
Commitment to Public Safety
Mayor Richard Norcross underscored the importance of this development: “This important project reflects the Town’s commitment to public safety, ensuring top-tier fire rescue services for all residents.”

Ahead of construction, the Town conducted a site suitability review, analyzing traffic impact, financial feasibility, and servicing needs to determine the best location. The site—adjacent to a sports field and Public Works yard—was chosen for its strategic accessibility and operational efficiency.
Future-Ready Fire Services
The station’s design ensures long-term sustainability as New Tecumseth continues to grow. Fire Station #4 will play a critical role in supporting emergency preparedness in high-growth areas, reinforcing the Town’s ability to protect lives and property.
“This new facility will support faster response times, stronger emergency preparedness, and a heightened level of service, now and in the future,” said Norcross.
By expanding coverage and upgrading infrastructure, New Tecumseth is investing in a safer, more resilient future for residents.
