One person airlifted to hospital following collision in Innisfil

Ornge air ambulance landed in a field to transport a patient following a two-vehicle collision in Innisfil.

Around 10:30 Tuesday morning, South Simcoe Police (SSP) say they were called to a crash on Big Bay Point Road, about two kilometres east of 20th Sideroad.

One person was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, SSP police posted on X.

Roads are closed at Big Bay Point Road, north of the 20th Sideroad and between the 20th and 25th Sideroad for the police investigation.
