Person suffers serious injuries in assault in Tottenham

Ontario Provincial Police say a person suffered serious injuries when they were assaulted while in a vehicle in Tottenham.

Police say it happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday on Mill Street.

The victim was sleeping in their vehicle in a parking lot, according to police, when suspects smashed a window and attacked the individual, then took off. A passerby discovered the victim and alerted police.

The victim was transported to hospital by paramedics.

One suspect is described as white male with blonde hair and a nose ring.

Officers are requesting the public's help in locating those responsible for the assault. if you have any information, or were in the area between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., contact the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
