Hydro pole repair gums up traffic on busy Bayfield Street

No word how the pole was damaged

Bayfield Street has reopened.

**********************************

Bayfield Street on a good day can be a chore to travel on, then toss in a closure.

Police say Alectra continues to work to repair a hydro pole that was damaged.

The northbound lanes of Bayfield Street are closed between Ferris Lane and Cundles Road, and police say the estimated time to reopen that stretch is between 3 and 5 p.m. on Friday.

Police say several businesses in the area have closed because they don't have any power.

Due to the outage, investigators have not been able to access video surveillance to see if there is evidence as to how the pole was damaged.
