The OHL and FloSports announced a new seven-year media partnership Tuesday. It makes FloHockey the league's new home for live and on-demand coverage of its regular season and postseason games.
LeagueStat, FloSports' statistics and data platform, was already being used by the OHL. Therefore, this agreement continues a longstanding partnership.
As a part of the new services, viewers will experience real-time integration and updates between live streams, and other sources.

“We’re excited about this new partnership and making FloHockey the streaming home of the Ontario Hockey League,” said OHL Commissioner Bryan Crawford. “Providing our fans with a first-rate streaming experience across several different platforms is a top priority. Working with Flo and their creative team also presents tremendous content opportunities across our social and digital channels and we’re looking forward to telling the league’s story together.”
Previously, viewers could stream games online through the OHL Live service. The WHL still uses a similarly-styled streaming platform, while the QMJHL have already had a partnership with FloHockey.
Local television broadcasts provide the primary feeds for game streams, with occasional national coverage from TSN.
The partnership includes an official sponsorship designation for FloHockey with the OHL. Both brands will start collaborating to elevate original hockey content across their media platforms.
“The OHL has long been a pillar of junior hockey in North America, and this partnership is a milestone for our coverage,” said general manager of FloHockey Josh Siskin. “Adding the OHL alongside the QMJHL offers fans the most complete junior hockey streaming experience available anywhere. We’re proud to invest in growing the game and supporting the next generation of elite talent.”
FloHockey is already the streaming home for seven of the nine leagues within the CJHL, including the OJHL and the NOJHL. It's also been a major hub for NCAA Division I men's and women's ice hockey broadcasts across most conferences, as many don't have national television deals in the United States.
As for pro hockey, FloHockey also has rights to AHL, ECHL, USHL, and SHL games among other leagues. The service boasts more than 6 million total viewers and over 21 million video views on social media last season.
This season, FloHockey will stream more than 20,000 games, including nearly 700 OHL contests.
FloSports says OHL season ticket holders will receive a FloHockey subscription discount.
