Unlicenced driver from Wasaga Beach charged with impaired: OPP

A 25-year-old Wasaga Beach man has been charged with impaired driving and other offences after Dufferin OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash.

Police say the collision happened on August 28 on County Road 17 in Melancthon Township.

During the interaction with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment and initiated an investigation into impaired driving.

The accused was also charged with driving a vehicle without a licence and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.

He is slated to appear in court in Orangeville.
