A report of an armed man in a vehicle led Barrie Police to arrest and charge three with a litany of counts early Friday morning.
Just before 2 a.m., in the area of Bayfield and Wellington Streets, police responded to a report of a man in a vehicle with a firearm.
After a quick arrival to the scene, officers arrested three individual, with one of them experiencing a medial issue while in custody and subsequently being taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, a loaded revolved and a quantity of drugs were found in the vehicle. Police determined the items had been stolen earlier in the week.

The three people, all from Barrie, are each facing a wide range of charges. Suspects include 28-year-old and 37-year-old women as well as a 30-year-old man.

The 28-year-old female's charges include:
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Operation of a vehicle while prohibited
- Operation while impaired
- Driving while under suspension
- Several drug possession charges
- Several charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Occupant of a motor vehicle – knowing there was a firearm

The 37-year-old female's charges include:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Occupant of a motor vehicle – knowing there was a firearm
- Several drug possession charges
- Several charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking

The 30-year-old male's charges include:
- 2 counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Several drug possession charges
- Several charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Occupant of a motor vehicle – knowing there was a firearm
All were held in custody pending a bail hearing. The investigation remains ongoing.
