
York Regional Police say a 23-year-old Innisfil man who was charged in connection with a shooting in Vaughan on September 10 is facing additional charges linked to shots fired at multiple homes.
In the original incident, officers responded to the sounds of gunshots on Lady Angela Lane, in the area of Bathurst Street and Teston Road. Police, with the assistance of the canine unit, arrested a suspect after a short foot chase.
The accused was charged with numerous offences, mostly firearm and weapons-related.
Investigators say they have since linked the suspect to six other shootings at homes in London, Brampton, and Vaughan between August 18 and September 7.
Police say approximately 125 shots were fired in those seven incidents, but no one was injured.
The suspect is facing an additional six counts of discharging a firearm with intent and six counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
Police say he has remained in custody since the September 10 incident.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have video surveillance or dash cam footage from the areas listed below at the time of the shootings to come forward.
