OPP investigating robbery at an Orillia business

Provincial police in Orillia are investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store in the area of Atherley Road and Forest Avenue around 4:30 on Tuesday morning.

Police say male entered the business and threatned the employee while demanding cash and cigarettes.

A quantity of cash was handed over, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

No weapon was seen, and there were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing black clothing and a mask.

Police are asking members of the public with dash cam footage from the area of Atherley Road and Forest Avenue between 4:15 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. to review their recordings for any information that may assist in identifying the suspect.
