A 76-year-old man was arrested after Barrie police responded to a break-in at a car dealership on Mapleview Drive West.

Around 2:16 a.m. on Monday, police say officers arrived at the south end business after information of multiple alarms being activated. Within minutes of their arrival, officers located a male, who was taken into custody for break and enter. He was taken to police headquarters where the investigation continued.

As a result, the man was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Monday.
