A man and a woman, both aged 26 and from Etobicoke, face a combined total of 37 criminal charges that South Simcoe Police (SSP) have linked to thefts in Orillia, Bolton, Bradford, and Richmond Hill.
Around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, SSP responded to a report of a retail theft at a business in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
When police arrived at the business, they saw a vehicle matching the suspect description fleeing from the area near Miller Park Avenue and Melbourne Drive. During the incident, police say the driver lost control and collided with a home on Royal Court.

"Two occupants fled from the scene, running through the backyards of homes on
Imperial Crescent, Crown Crescent, and Maplegrove Avenue. Officers quickly contained the
neighbourhood, and both suspects were located and arrested without further incident," police said in a news release.
Investigators allege that the suspects were involved in thefts earlier the same day in Bolton and Orillia. The vehicle driven by the accused had been reported stolen from Durham Region in mid-November and is valued at more than $60,000.
According to police, a significant quantity of stolen property from the vehicle, worth over $8,000, was recovered and returned.

- Theft under $5,000 × multiple counts (Orillia, Bolton, Bradford, Richmond Hill)
