
South Simcoe Police are investigating a theft involving two youths that happened outside a business on Jans Boulevard in Innisfil on Wednesday.
Around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery and were advised that the victims were walking along a roadway when it occurred. They were reportedly approached by two male suspects and directed to go behind a nearby business.
One of the victims was pushed up against a wall and had his jacket taken by one of the suspects. The second victim managed to get away to seek assistance and contact police. No injuries were reported.
Afterward, the suspects were seen fleeing the area in a vehicle. then fled the scene and were observed leaving the area in a vehicle.
Both victims were subsequently released into the care of their parents.
The investigation is ongoing and police are actively canvassing the area for video surveillance in an effort to identify the suspects and the vehicle involved.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTIONS
SUSPECT 1 is described as male, approximately 16 years old, black, between 5’10” - 6’1”, thin build, medium length hair with dreads, wearing a blue surgical mask, grey sweatpants, black jacket.
SUSPECT 2 is described as male, approximately 16-17 years old, black, 6’4”, medium build, medium length hair with dreads, grey pants and grey sweater with a hood – hood was up and suspect was not wearing a mask but covering his face during the incident.
