Huronia West OPP charged one individual with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision Thursday evening in Clearview.

Officers responded to the collision just after 6 p.m., which was on County Road 124 near Melville Street. Upon locating the vehicle, they began an impaired driving investigation, and eventually arrested the driver.

The 27-year-old from Christian Island was then charged for impaired driving and for crossing the legal blood-alcohol concentration limit. They are scheduled to appear in court in Collingwood on February 17.

OPP say drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol continue to pose a significant threat on Ontario roads.
