A man is facing charges after South Simcoe Police responded to multiple calls on Wednesday night regarding an assault in the area of Belle Aire Beach Road and Arnold Street in Innisfil.

Police say two 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old man were assaulted during an altercation.

The older teen was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that police describe as non-life-threatening. The other two teens were not injured.

Police say the suspect, who was not known to the teens, surrendered without incident.

A 23-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with assault, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
