
West Parry Sound OPP recovered five stolen vehicles and have charged three youths.
Between 11:15 p.m. on February 5 and 12:30 p.m. on February 6, officers responded to several occurrences involving stolen vehicles, break and enters, and motor vehicle collisions. Following an investigation, OPP determined the incidents were connected.
Police recovered five stolen vehicles, several of which had been involved in overnight collisions.
A 15-year-old from Georgian Bay Township has been charged with:
- Theft of a motor vehicle - five counts
- Dangerous operation
- Break, enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence - two counts
- Trespassing at night - three counts
- Theft of credit card
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Mischief - interferes with the lawful use - two counts
- Mischief Under $ 5,000
A 14-year-old from McDougall Township has been charged with:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle - five counts
- Dangerous operation
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence - two counts
- Trespassing at Night - three counts
- Theft of Credit Card
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Mischief - interferes with the lawful use - two counts
- Mischief Under $ 5,000
A 16-year-old from Parry Sound has been charged with:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle - three counts
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Mischief - interferes with the lawful use - two counts
- Mischief Under $ 5,000
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Theft of Credit Card
- Trespassing at Night
The accused were held for a bail hearing and have a court date on Mar. 5.
