Four people have been arrested and charged following an armed home invasion in Alcona, in the area of Ferguson and Benson streets.
South Simcoe Police say two suspects remain outstanding.
The six face a combined 106 criminal charges.
Police say that on Feb. 7, three suspects armed with firearms forced their way into the home while a fourth waited in a vehicle.
Five occupants were held at gunpoint as the suspects searched for a safe containing Canadian currency.
Police say the occupants were assaulted, cellphones were stolen and rooms were ransacked.
The suspects fled in separate vehicles, including one stolen from the home's driveway.
Officers later spotted one of the vehicles travelling west on Benson Street. It stopped after hitting a snowbank, and the lone occupant ran away on foot. A police canine unit and perimeter search failed to locate the suspect.
The stolen vehicle was later involved in an unrelated incident in Peterborough. Ontario Provincial Police recovered it near Cobourg after stopping the vehicle.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the two suspects who remain at large.
The vast majority of the charges are firearms-related.
The suspects arrested include a 32-year-old Brampton man and three men, ages 19, from Durham Region and Northumberland County.
