Alert from York Region Public Health after 3 people with COVID-19 attended a large party in King Township

Health officials said the three did not practice physical distancing or wear a face mask or covering

Health officials in York Region want people who attended a large party in the Schomberg-area of King Township earlier this month to get tested for COVID-19.

They say three people who attended the party were infectious with the virus and a fourth case is probable.

The party was held at 17015 8th Concession in King Township from 6 p.m. on July 12 to 12:30 a.m. on July 13.

York Region Public Health (YRPH) says the cases involve people who are non-York Region residents.

The cases reported they did not practice physical distancing and did not wear a face mask or covering.

YRPH says people should monitor themselves for new or worsening symptoms related to COVID-19 because they may have been exposed to the virus.
