*NO Barbie movie spoilers ahead.* Just doll talk.

After nearly 60 years, Allan is getting his shining moment with help from the "Barbie" movie.

Thanks to Michael Cera's sweet, understated, and hilarious portrayal of the mostly unknown doll, Allan's price has surged with online sellers.

According to TMZ, the going bid for an Allan on eBay jumped from
between $35 - $76 to $150- $300.

Allan was released in 1964 and marketed as "Ken's Buddy " and "All of Ken's clothes fit him."

He was discontinued after a couple of years but made a small comeback in the 90s when he married Barbie's friend Midge, and the two had twins.

That brings us to pregnant Midge ( which is a whole other discontinued doll story)

If you have never heard of Allan, you're not alone. I had a vast collection of Barbie Dolls, including a Ken and Skipper. I even had Kevin (Skipper's boyfriend), but I never heard of Allan until the movie came out. And now I will never forget him.

@entertainmenttonight In my head I’m Barbie but in reality I’m Allan. Ryan Gosling may have been the perfect Ken, but this is a Michael Cera appreciation post for being the perfect Allan. #michaelcera #barbie #allan ♬ original sound - Entertainment Tonight
