Alleged Car Thief Cuffed And Charged With DUI
Collingwood Man Facing List of Charges
Police in Springwater say they caught a car thief over the way the dude was driving.
Complaints came in around 9:30 Thursday morning of an erratic driver along highway 26. Officers tracked down the vehicle in question, while a check of the plates showed the car was reported stolen.
When cops tried to stop it, they say the driver ran off on foot. The chase didn’t last too long, the suspect was cuffed shortly after.
A 27-year-old Collingwood man not only facing theft charges, but also accused of driving under the influence of drugs and booze.
