South Simcoe Police - SNOW

A man has been charged after South Simcoe Police received a report of a possible impaired driver operating a van in the area of Bond Head.

Police said shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, officers received another report that a van was in a collision on County Road 88 at Highway 400 and left the scene.

The vehicle was located on Holland Street in Bradford. Police say the vehicle jumped the curb and the driver parked diagonally in a parking space. After a chat with the driver, he was taken to the police station for a breath test.

As a result, a 49-year-old from Kewsick has been charged with two impaired driving offences and failing to stop after an accident.
