OPP charge one after robbery at Alliston pharmacy

Nottawasaga OPP have charged a person in relation to a robbery at a pharmacy in the Township of Alliston. 

On Friday, July 8, just before 5:00 p.m., police say a lone male attended a business on Victoria Street, proceeded to the pharmacy, indicated he had a handgun and demanded narcotics.

Officers say the suspect fled in a vehicle with a quantity of prescription medication.

OPP say the male was located in the Town of Orangeville by Dufferin OPP and arrested.

A 37-year-old from Orangeville now faces multiple charges including robbery using a firearm, uttering threats, careless use of a firearm and prohibited device or ammunition.

The accused was transported to the Nottawasaga detachment where he was held for a bail hearing.
