Amber Alert cancelled, boy found safe

Thunder Bay Police issued the Amber Alert earlier on Tuesday

An Amber Alert issued by Thunder Bay Police regarding an 8-year-old boy has been cancelled.

The child has been located safe.

No other details have been provided.

Earlier today, police issued the Amber Alert and said it was believed the child had been abducted by his father, and that the two were last seen in Thunder Bay on Monday night and could be headed to the man's hometown of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

There is no word regarding whether the father has been located.
