Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, a report of a possible impaired driver in a black pickup truck leaving a retail store parking lot on Simcoe County Road 93 was picked up by OPP, who began an investigation leading them to an address on Olive St. in Midland.
Officers spoke to the suspected driver at the address where the vehicle reported was also located.
The investigation continued with an OPP drug recognition expert and led to the arrest of a 58-year-old man who was charged with impaired driving.
The man received a 90-day suspension of his driver's license and was released from custody, scheduled to appear in court in July. The vehicle he was operating was also towed and impounded.
