Another 375 new COVID-19 cases in Ontario

27 more deaths brings the number of fatalities in the province to 94.

Numbers released by Ontario health officials this morning show there are 375 new cases of COVID-19 and 27 more deaths. This brings the provincial total including recoveries to 3, 630.

The total number of fatalities from the virus stands at 94. The new cases are a drop from the 462 reported Friday.

Officials said 1,336 people are under investigation for possible infection and awaiting tests.

As for a full recovery, 1,200 patients are on that list, up from 1,023 just 24 hours ago.

Across the province, there have been 500 people admitted to hospital due to COVID-19. There have been 196 patients admitted to the ICU and 152 were on ventilators as of Thursday night.

54 of the 94 deaths can be attributed to virus outbreaks in 36 separate nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
