Poor Colin Jost was the subject of a mean, although hilarious, April Fools prank on Saturday Night Live.
Before the cameras began rolling for the Weekend Update segment, co-host Michael Che told the audience not to laugh at Colin Jost's jokes.
Once it was showtime, the audience had a muted reaction to Jost whenever he tried to land a punchline but gave Che a good laugh.
At one point, someone in the crowd yelled, "You Suck," aimed at Jost.
Eventually, he was let in on the gag, and the poor guy could not get over it.
In disbelief and relief, Jost sank his head into his hands and said, "I was thinking, Am I not miked? And then I was like, 'Oh, I just suck.'"
A joke from Che later, and poor Jost still hadn't recovered from the gag, telling Che, "God, you're evil. That's the meanest thing you've ever done to me. I'm covered in sweat."
All of this was said through laughter and embarrassment. The whole thing is hilarious, especially as the two anchors try to recover.
