South Simcoe Police are seeking the public's assistance as they investigate an armed home invasion in Alcona.
On Feb. 19, around 3 a.m., police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a home invasion in progress at a residence on Dale Road.
An initial report indicated three male suspects, believed to be armed with firearms, broke the windows of the front door to gain entry into the residence.
Police say it's been determined that after the suspects left the home, they fled in a black Acura TLX with Ontario licence plate CVCT 393, which had previously been reported stolen from Toronto on Jan. 22.
There were three people inside the residence at the time of the incident, and none of them sustained any physical injuries.
The suspects are described as:
- Suspect 1 - black male, approximately 6'1 to 6'3 tall, wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweater and a neck gaiter (face/head covering)
- Suspect 2 - white male, approximately 5'7 to 5'8" tall, wearing a black hooded sweater
- Suspect 3 - short male with large build
Police have released video footage from the surrounding area of the suspects in an appeal to the public for information.
