The South Simcoe Police Service is investigating an armed robbery at Trotters Esso gas station in Innisfil.

On Saturday at 11:20 p.m., police say two armed suspects entered the gas bar, located at 5479 Yonge Street, and demanded access to the cash register.

"One of the suspects was armed with a knife, and it is believed that the second suspect was in possession of a firearm," police said in a news release.

"A quantity of cash was obtained, and the suspects fled on foot."

Officers say there were no injuries reported.

The suspects are described as males with thin builds, dark complexions, and between 20-30 years of age.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has dash cam video, who were in the area of Highway 89/Shore Acres Drive, and Yonge Street during the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Simcoe Police Service at 905 775-3311, 705-436-2141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
