Three people have been charged in connection with what South Simcoe Police say was a violent home invasion robbery.
Police say in the early hours of June 8, 2021, the suspects broke into an Innisfil residence where they were confronted by the owner and a violent struggle ensued. The suspects fled on foot and the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators determined this was a targeted robbery for a quantity of cash.
On Monday, the suspects were arrested and charged with robbery, break and enter and aggravated assault.
One of the suspects, a 43-year-old woman from Willow Beach, was previously arrested last month, according to police.
Two men, a 32-year-old from St. Thomas and a 36-year-old from Sarnia, were held pending scheduled bail hearings.
