Arson investigation after fire at newly constructed home in New Tecumseth

The Ontario Provincial Police are treating a fire at a newly constructed and unoccupied home near Alliston as arson.

Just before 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, emergency crews responded to a report of a structure fire on Lawrence D. Pridham Avenue in a new subdivision near the 14th Line in New Tecumseth.

Firefighters knocked down the flames, and no one was hurt.

Video surveillance obtained by investigators shows three suspects and a blue Hyundai Elantra arriving at around 3:50 a.m. and fleeing the scene at 4:09 a.m. with two gas cans.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects and the suspect vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP Major Crime Unit at 1-800-310-1122, referencing occurrence number E251590150. Additionally, motorists or residents in the area between 3:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on November 25, 2025, who may have dashcam or home surveillance footage are encouraged to contact police.
