Assault charge laid after man asked to leave Gravenhurst store

Suspect accused of assaulting employee after throwing hand sanitizer out onto the street

A man asked to leave a Bracebridge store is now facing an assault charge.

The OPP was dispatched to the Fabricare Cleaning Centre in Gravenhurst around 9 a.m. Wednesday with reports of an employee who had been assaulted. Police were told the suspect was asked to leave the store but instead threw a bottle of hand sanitizer out onto the street.

When the employee went out to retrieve the bottle, it is said they were assaulted by the suspect.

A 30-year-old Gravenhurst man will be in Bracebridge court in late September to answer to charges laid.
