Assault charges laid after 'boater cutting in the line turned physical': SSP

The South Simcoe Police Service charged a Toronto man with assault following an incident at Innisfil Beach Park.

On Saturday around 9:30 a.m., police say they were called to the boat launch at Innisfil Beach Park after a "verbal dispute over a boater cutting in the line turned physical."

Police added that the victim, a 60-year-old Innisfil man, suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention.

A 51-year-old was charged with assault.

He was released with a future court date.
