South Simcoe Police are looking for multiple suspects following a failed smash-and-grab style robbery at a Bradford jewellery store.
Police said at around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, three masked suspects entered the store in the area of Holland Street East and Barrie Street.
"The suspects attempted to rob the store at gunpoint, but their attempts to smash display cases were unsuccessful and they fled empty-handed," police said in a news release on Friday.
Police added that the 56-year-old store owner was assaulted during the incident and was treated for minor injuries.
The suspects were seen leaving the area in a grey, four-door vehicle.
The suspects are described as:
- Suspect #1, Male, Black - late teens to early 20s, tall, approximately 6'0", thin build, wearing a black balaclava style mask, black pants and a black sweater, with a red circular logo
- Suspect #2, Male, Black - late teens to early 20s, average height, approximately 5'7", medium build, wearing a balaclava style mask, wearing a half black/half white Nike tech fleece sweater, black sweatpants, possibly a red reusable bag
- Suspect #3 Male, Black - early 20s, average height, approximately 5'10", wearing a black balaclava style mask, black clothing.
