
South Simcoe Police (SSP) are investigating an arson attempt in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Around 6:15 on Wednesday, October 30, police say a security guard spotted two people damaging a home in a residential area.
"When the security guard confronted the two suspects, it became apparent they were attempting to start a fire," police said in a news release.
The suspects fled in a dark SUV, last seen heading south on County Road 27 near County Road 88.
Police say the pair approached the home with a liquid accelerant and attempted to start a fire.
The house was unoccupied at the time, according to SSP.
