A decade-old conspiracy theory about Avril Lavigne is popping up again, claiming the singer is not the real Avril.

In 2011, a rumor started circulating that the real Avril died of suicide after releasing "Let Go" and that a body double took over.

The doppelganger took over her name, learned to sing, and continued to release albums under Avril's name.

The eleven-year-old story is making rounds again, but the real Avril is taking it in stride as she addressed it in a recent tic-tok video.

The comment asks, "are you the real Avril?" She then gives it a good ole kick.

Have a look.
