Man suffers serious head injury in east end Barrie assault
Two men have been charged
Two people have been charged by Barrie Police in connection with the assault of a man at a residence on Georgian Drive.
Police responded to a report of a physical altercation just before 8:30 on Thursday night. When they arrived, paramedics were helping a man in the driveway of the residential building who had sustained a serious head injury. The 27-year-old from Barrie was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Officers went to a unit within the building and arrested two males.
An 18-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from Barrie, have been charged with assault. The 18-year-old has also been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, mischief under $5,000 and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
Both men were held in custody for a bail hearing on Friday.
