Chris Nagorski will be back in a Barrie Baycats uniform after the team reacquired him from the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday.
The 35-year old right-hander was a member of the team from 2013-2018, and contributed to five-consecutive championships.
His last appearance with Barrie was in game four of the 2018 IBL Finals in which he lost the game in extra innings on a walk-off single by Kitchener's Zach Johnson. The Baycats won the series 4-2.

Nagorski was acquired by the Baycats from Guelph in 2013, where he started his IBL career.
The 12-year veteran logged 105.2 innings over his six-year stint with Barrie, earning a 2-2 record with 22 saves, a 1.87 ERA and 82 strikeouts. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, he didn't allow a single earned run.
The Mississauga-native left the IBL after the 2018 title and returned to the league in 2022 with Toronto. That year the Maple Leafs lost to London in the IBL Finals.
He currently sits second all-time in league history in career saves with 25, but hasn't recorded one since 2022.
Before the IBL, Nagorski played NCAA Division I baseball at Binghamton after transferring from Connors State College (NJCAA).
The signing comes after Chris Lazar was released by Barrie earlier this week, and fills the need for another bullpen arm.

COMING UP
Barrie (13-10) will face the Brantford Red Sox (6-18) on the road in the first game of a home-and-home series. Frank Garcés (2-2, 3.27 ERA) will start for the Baycats. Brantford has not yet named a starter.
Nagorski will be active for Friday's game.
