Barrie police investigating break-and-enter at Anne St. business

Officers with the Barrie Police Service are investigating a break-and-enter at an Anne Street business on Tuesday night.

Police say they responded to a report of the incident at Anne and Jacobs Terrace at 10:02 p.m.

"From the investigation that followed, police learned that the entry occurred at 9:35 p.m. after the suspects smashed the front door and gained entry to the trading card and collectible business," officers stated in a media release on Wednesday.

"Once inside, an undisclosed quantity of currency, trading card packages and singles were stolen., The estimated value of the stolen items is $1000; the damage to the door has not yet been determined."

Police are trying to identify two suspects spotted on video surveillance that captured the break-and-enter.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Wearing a red sweater with the hood up
  • Black pants
  • Black and white Nike shoes
  • Light face mask (possibly a medical mask)
  • Carrying a black garbage bag

The second suspect:

  • Wore a light-coloured jacket/hoodie
  • Dark pants
  • Dark footwear
  • Black balaclava covering head and face
  • Blue gloves
  • Wearing a white satchel bag with black straps
  • Carrying a green bag.
