An overnight car theft investigation is being conducted by Barrie police, who say the owner had both of the key fobs.

Officers say the theft at the College Crescent home happened between 9 p.m. on Monday and 11 a.m. yesterday.

The 2021, black-coloured, four-door Honda Civic, with Ontario licence plate DCLB252, was parked in the driveway at the time.

"There was no broken glass located where the car had been parked and the owner was in possession of both key fobs," police said in a release. "A canvass of the immediate area failed to turn up any nearby homes with video surveillance."

Police say to contact them at 705-725-7025 if you have information about the vehicle.

"And should the vehicle be found abandoned, please do not approach or touch it," officers added.
