It is open to students, recent graduates, alumni and community job seekers at all stages of their careers — including people entering the workforce, considering a career change, returning to work or looking for their next opportunity.
Employers will be on hand to discuss current job openings, upcoming hiring needs and potential career paths in a range of industries, including manufacturing, engineering, technology, skilled trades, digital media, business and innovation.
Organizers say the event is designed to help job seekers speak directly with employers about the skills and experience they are looking for.
Those attending are encouraged to bring several copies of an up-to-date résumé and be ready to talk about their skills, experience and career interests.
Job seekers are also encouraged to research participating employers ahead of time, ask about current and future hiring needs and explore opportunities beyond specific job titles.
The Industry Hiring Event & Career Expo will be held at Five Points Theatre, 1 Dunlop Street West, Barrie, on October 21 from 4 to 6 p.m.
